One playthrough will get you about 1500 kills so you will have to play a few chapters over. You will be going for the last few trophies anyway so it is not too bad. The last 2 chapters are full of enemies. DO NOT START A NEW GAME ON A DIFFERENT DIFFICULTY AS THIS WILL RESET YOUR COUNT TO 0!

Obviously use the Samurai mutagen and just keep hacking away at the enemy that you need. There are 5 kinds. The best parts in the game to fight each are :

Machete - Chapter 1-1
Machine Gunner - pretty much the whole game but the easiest are in Chapter 1-3
Jungle Mutants - Chapter 5-1
Robots - Chapter 3-2 and 3-3
Specialized Military Units - Chapter 4-3

During the first phase of the final boss fight, you can pretty much be cheap by using quick kills and lunges over and over. Phase two, however, can be frustrating. Quick kills are not as effective, though some people were still able to beat him using them, and Lunge is still a great tactic. Go in berserk as much as possible and just keep hacking away with heavy attacks while blocking and countering. When he starts using his Cyclops beam just get to him as fast as possible and continue with berserk and heavy attacks. Eventually he will fall.

The game just gets increasingly harder, although true hack'n'slasher's will not have a hard time. Use all the same tactics and be prepared to break a controller or two unless you are very skilled. This difficulty will unlock upon completion the normal difficulty.
